✨ About the Team ✨
The Human System Integration team develops Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) that are crucial for drivers to safely and securely use advanced driver-assistance systems. As the scope of systems taking over parts of cognition, judgment, and operation expands with increasing levels of driving assistance, our goal is to foster mutual understanding between cars and humans, providing safe and secure freedom of movement through HMIs. HMI development involves frequent interaction with drivers and directly impacts vehicle competitiveness, allowing for significant contributions to car manufacturing.
🌟 About the Candidate 🌟
You will develop HMI control applications for advanced driver-assistance systems. This application receives a wealth of information from vehicle control and recognition applications, generates HMI requirements, and outputs interactive notifications to the meter, head-up display, and multimedia systems. Therefore, building collaborative relationships with other hardware and software engineers is essential. Furthermore, you will be involved in a wide range of activities from the planning and conceptualization phase to the product development phase. We are seeking engineers with solid coding skills, broad knowledge of software development, logical thinking abilities to derive optimal solutions, the capacity to smoothly communicate with others, and the drive to see tasks through to completion with autonomy, leading the team. You will report directly to the HMI Application Development Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the team in requirements definition, functional design including inter-ECU communication specifications, and software implementation and verification for HMI control applications.
- Conduct HMI evaluations using actual vehicles and driving simulators, collaborating with team members and related application teams to respond swiftly to specification changes.
- Conduct reviews and provide advice to ensure the software quality of mass production development.
- Negotiate with Toyota Motor Corporation and other partners to formulate development items, schedules, and budgets.
- Adhere to the hybrid work policy, with at least three days of office attendance per week.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in HMI development for mass-produced vehicles, or control software development for cockpit ECUs (meter, head-up display, multimedia systems).
- 3+ years of programming experience in C language for mass production development.
- Experience and ability to communicate in Japanese, both written and verbal, in a professional setting.
- Logical thinking and presentation skills to demonstrate the necessity of HMI requirements to stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of programming experience in C language for mass production development.
- Embedded software or ECU-向け software development experience (practical experience in software architecture design, implementation, verification, and evaluation).
- Model-Based Development (MBD) experience using technologies such as MATLAB and Simulink.
- Mobile/web/desktop application development experience using Python, Flutter, Unity, Blender, etc.
- Knowledge and practical experience with automotive industry standards such as Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and SOTIF.
- Project management experience in Agile/Scrum development.
- Driving simulator development experience.
- Practical experience in UX planning and interactive design.
